Times when wedding ceremonies cannot take place

It is important to note that  wedding ceremonies cannot take place on the nights before Wednesdays and Fridays, on Sundays, during the Great Feasts of the Orthodox Church, during days of the Christmas fast, during the festive season (from November 28 until January 19), from the Meat-Fare Sunday and during the Great fast and Easter Week until Low Sunday (dates vary each year), on the day of fast of St. Peter and St. Paul (the starting date changes but finishes on July 12 on the memorial day of Holy pre-eminent apostles Peter and Paul), during Assumption fast (from August 14 until August 28), the day before and during the days of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist (September 11), and on the day of the Exaltation of the Honorable and Life-giving Cross (September 27).
